You Are Safe, Gary Westford, 2021, oil on canvas, 60 x 48 in. / 152.4 x 121.92 cm.

A rifle falls from the sky in front of the Empire State Building. Seven spheres/orbs painted in "flesh" tones (red, yellow, brown, black, white) representing humankind (all of us) ethereally float in the surrounding clouds. The words "You Are Safe" are inscribed at the top edge of the painting.
