This piece was created using gold leaf, handmade paper from Japan and acrylic inks. The owl was painted in acrylic inks then layered with washi paper, followed by transparent layers of acrylic inks and gold leaf details. It was finished with acrylic gloss varnish and cold wax (over paper only).
