Naturalist Gallery of Contemporary Art is an online curatorial institution dedicated to evaluation, contextualization, and public record of contemporary artistic practice.
Artist-founded and independently administered, the gallery maintains a structured curatorial program that situates international artists at different stages of practice within a shared institutional framework.
Gavin Coates

Gavin Coates oversees the curatorial direction, institutional framework, and editorial output of Naturalist Gallery of Contemporary Art. Since founding NGCA in 2023, he has been responsible for establishing its evaluative standards, exhibition structure, and published curatorial record.
He serves as final arbiter for institutional positioning, long-term program development, and archival continuity.
Sydney Cosden
Exhibitions Director & Curator
Sydney Cosden oversees exhibition development and curatorial review at Naturalist Gallery of Contemporary Art. Her role includes the evaluation of submitted works, the formation of group and solo exhibition programs, and the maintenance of curatorial coherence across NGCA’s public presentations.
She works in coordination with NGCA’s editorial and archival framework to ensure continuity between exhibition programming and the gallery’s institutional record.
